Steph thought it would be a regular couple photoshoot during their Maui vacation. But Thomas had something different in mind.
He wanted to plan a surprise proposal that would involve scenic views and a whole travel experience, and I just knew they were my kind of people. Art and adventure, my favorite combo.
He had contacted us to get advice from a local, and together we crafted the perfect idea for him to drop on one knee.
The raindrops could not ruin how perfectly the sun hits the rocks at sunrise. Or the brush strokes it creates between the huge tree branches. Maui is just the perfect place for romance.
We started our adventure on the Mars-like lava rocks of West Maui and ended it in the forest for The Grand Finale.
He walked in front of me. We were approaching the spot we had planned for him to drop on one knee. He put his arm behind his back and lifted his shirt for me to see the hidden box and I just knew that was the sign.
She was leading the hike. Looking around to this beautiful rainforest and the sunbeams starting to play between the huge tree branches, unaware of his next move; the one that would change her life forever. 💍
What a special way to start a new life chapter!
In the end, photographs are just a way to remember. May these portraits be just a little reminder of an amazing Maui vacation and the beginning of a life filled with love, joy, and adventure.
