Jeremy & Catalina got married on the mainland, but planned their honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii. They decided to bring their wedding attire and thought a nice rocky area would be the perfect backdrop for their trash the dress photos.
We chose one of our favorite Maui beaches, one that would allow us to play with different elements for more variety of pictures.
The great thing about booking a photo session in Maui is that, within 2 hours, you can discover a multitude of mini ecosystems: clear blue ocean, black and imposing lava rocks, lush greens, steep mountains, wildflowers, and unexpected rainbows. But one thing is guaranteed: stunning photos.
However, this lovely couple brought something just as important as their wedding outfits: their open minds and hearts. You see, I believe wedding photography is not only about the photographer’s talent but also about the energy, ideas, and open-mindedness the couple brings to the table. It’s a process of co-creation and an opportunity to be intentional about creating a romantic and meaningful moment with your partner.
So, they decided to play, have some romance, dance, climb on lava rocks, and get in the water. But most importantly, they stepped out of their comfort zones to create something memorable and entrusted the Maui photographers at Vanessa Arias Photography to document their adventure.
