I believe photos are the closest thing we humans have to freezing time, and I’ve spent the last 5 years learning new, fun, and creative ways to capture life.

My Artistic Journey
Vanessa Arias Ruiz (Caracas, 1993) is a Venezuelan professional photographer and writer who is intrigued by people and the beauty of entering their worlds through art.
She holds a B.A. degree in International Affairs from Universidad Santa Maria (Caracas) and studied photography at Roberto Mata School of Photography (Miami). Her literary work has been included in the short story collection “Vacaciones sin Hotel,” an anthology of Latin American writers in the United States, which won the Florida Book Award in 2021 in the Spanish language category. She has also contributed to “23 Relaciones Imperfectas”, which was published in 2023.
Currently, Vanessa is working on a photo book about her series of artistic nudes, “Bare Idea,” which explores the intimate connection between humans and nature in her current home of Hawai’i.
